KBZK News – Veteran families working to build final resting place for loved ones’ cremains.
Montana is home to the second-highest number of veterans per capita in the United States, but there are only two military cemeteries in the state.
Len Albright, Commander of American Legion Post 14 in Bozeman, explained that he and his fellow veterans were motivated to build a third military cemetery in Montana so the families of those who lost their lives would be able to visit their loved ones without having to travel as far.
The Southwest Montana Veterans Cemetery will be built to national standards in hopes that it can one day be assigned as a national cemetery.
